Certain Common Workout Mistakes to Avoid

To spend long hours at fitness centers and sweat hard might assure that you are working hard to keep yourself fit. But, are you sure that the work out exercises that you do are doing good to you? Think about this!

There are certain workout mistakes made by women at fitness center due to ignorance or unawareness, but due to that, they affect their health in some way or the other. Let us look at what are those common mistakes.

Do you notice your tongue when doing sit ups?

Is this a strange question? But read ahead, you won’t find it strange then.

Women, when do crunches, prefer to use the neck muscles much as compared to the abs. If you too are one amongst those, then you must make your abdominals work instead of neck. The easier way to do this is by pressing the tongue against the roof of the mouth. By doing this, you’ll strain off the neck and the stomach would work for doing crunches.

Doing stretching before cardio

Do you think that doing little bit of stretching helps in cardio? Well, if you want to see yourself gaining better strength & stamina for doing cardio exercise, instead of doing some stretches on the mat, move on to the cardio machine and start the exercise from the easiest level. By doing this, you can build the momentum and your heart rate would get elevated.

Lifting same weights at every workout session

The muscles tend to build the resistance for a particular thing after a particular period of time. If you go to the gym and pull up weights of same quantity every time, then your body would at one time get resistant to it and then would work slowly. Keep challenging your strengths & stamina to see better results.

Taking pre-gym snacks

Do you prefer to grab some energy before going to your gym? You might think that this is an energy bar with good fibers so you should consume it; but don’t you think it would take a lot of time to digest it? By taking energy bars, you can create problem for you during workout by getting sluggish feel. If you crave to have something before going to gym, then banana can be a better option instead of any other bar.

Not weighing the body weight

Many people think that weighing oneself quite often seems obsessive. Are you too one amongst those? According to a fitness expert at woman fitness gym in Malaysia, “People who weigh themselves regularly lose more weight than those who don’t. With weighing the weight, one gets motivated to do more and build more strength to work out and control on the eating habits.”
