Acne Vulgaris, commonly known as Acne, is simply the spots formation on the skin. The most common parts where these spots are formed are face, neck, chest, arms and back. The spots formation may be more or less and it depends on the severity of the condition. In the severe conditions, the complete area of affected skin part may be covered with these spots.
The most affected persons are the teenagers, especially between 13 and 18 years of age. This condition can occur at any stage of the life but usually it is seen in most of the teenagers. Acne is more common in women as compared to men. Some women may also be effected by this condition between the age 25 to 40. However it is not common in men in later ages(25 to onwards).
Acne may also be rarely seen in the newborns after the age of 3 months. This skin condition is common in every part of the word irrespective of the age, gender and skin color. But it is observed that acne is more common in the people with darker skin. But you must know that for every type of acne and for every skin color the best acne treatment is available.
